Match report by Assistant Coach Stevie Laurie.
The great escape comes to mind, a game that was very odd in more ways than one. We generally have most of the possession most weeks, we generally get out of the blocks well, however that was not the case today .
We started very slow and I think that set the tone for most of the afternoon even to a point, I'd say, where the visitors should have gone into the break in the lead.
In the second half it was a very disjointed display very unlike us, which led to the visitors being 3-1 up.
With our group you always feel we can come back at any point and that was the case today! Our leaders stood up and pushed us till the end which is what the gaffer asked for at half time and it made all the difference. They are a proud group and deserved to claw themselves back into the game, which, We are very proud of them for.
It wasn't our day in so many ways including going a man down to what looked like nothing more than a small incident, but we don't look for excuses instead the boys dug in and came back!
To get a point and never give up on a day that everything goes against you shows the true courage of the group who fight for this club till the last kick.
