Today, against Kingston was going to be a huge test of what our intentions are over the next 5 weeks.

Kingston we're coming off a 1-0 win against Heidelberg so we knew they would be full of confidence...also, I watched them live the week prior against Pascoe Vale and they played some really good stuff on that particular day, they were unlucky to not come away with the win that day.

All being said we know we are more than capable if we are in the right frame of mind.

Today we started well and looked in control with positive fast attacking transition, then for some reason that I'm sure will be addressed during the week, we chose to slow our transition down and take more touches than needed. If I'm completely honest in that period we also let our guard down in terms of our defensive duties and shape which allowed them into the game and a lead at half time.

At the break a few home truths were spoken with the group and all credit to them they reacted super positively and started to play our brand again courageous football with tempo and collective defensive duties in transition.

When I saw this unfold I knew it was only a matter of time until we took the lead again which we did.

We had a few out today due to injury and the circus that unfolded last week however the young boys at the club are very capable and it was their due reward to be involved on the day, so congratulations to all of them...Liam Kielty, Josh Robinson and Sebastian Pirruccio.

Our collective goal was to keep our future in our own hands and stamp one foot in the finals and give ourselves a finals birth sooner rather than later. Job done!!
