[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Gully travelled to Olympic Village to top off their third fixture in a tight time frame against Heidelberg United. Mamadi Kamara missing the fixture as well as Alex Salmon and Yared Abetew both out due to yellow card accumulation and the rest of the squad had a lot to ask of them after travelling to Wollongong for the Australia Cup.
Heidelberg were defensively solid starting off the game with Gully unable to find a way through. Finally, after a deflected chance on the edge of the area from a Nahuel Bonada shot, Gianluca Ianucci had another spark of brilliance with a wonder strike.
HALF TIME 0 – 1
Gully continued to apply the pressure in a windy second half with Luc Jeggo finding our second of the afternoon. Both sides had defended well in the latter part of the second half with many chances defended well from both sides it was only late into stoppage time which Heidelberg found a late consolation.
A solid team performance from the whole squad this week. With three wins from the league and the Australia Cup, the squad managed to get the job done. Now we put our focus on our catch up game against Melbourne Knights
