This Friday night your Green Gully Cavaliers travel to Kingston Heath Soccer Complex to play Bentleigh Greens in our Round 3 clash of NPL Victoria. The last time these two sides hit out was in our elimination final as we played out that fixture and won that fixture 2-0 thanks to a late sealer from Luc Jeggo.
Our 21’s play out their Round 3 fixture this Saturday also at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex, last season during the regular season the boys fought hard in both outings but it was Bentleigh Greens who got the points in both outings.
Last Friday our seniors hosted South Melbourne at Green Gully Reserve in Round 2 of NPL Victoria it might not have been the result we were looking for but the game did see Alan Gerez find the ball in the box from a Luc Jeggo set piece and found the back of the net drawing us level in the opening minutes of the second half.
Our 21’s hosted South Melbourne on Saturday as the squad fought hard in that fixture which saw Alex Cepirovski grab a brace and also Justin Spiteri finding the back of the net but ultimately as Gully received two red cards, which saw South see out the game but it was positive signs from the 21’s who continued to play and to keep the game level.
