This Saturday your Green Gully Cavaliers are back on the road as we travel to Avenger Park to take on Avondale FC in our Round 6 clash of NPL Victoria.
Green Gully won their third consecutive game at Paisley Park on Saturday, defeating Altona Magic 2-1. Pierce Waring scored in the 14th minute with Altona equalising through Jonas Markovski’s goal. In the 82nd minute, Green Gully took advantage of a defensive error from Altona, and Nahuel Bonada scored the winning goal in the dying moments of the game.
Avondale faced off against Moreland City with the Avengers being on hot form as they won that fixture 7-0, which now sees them at the top of the table after five rounds.
Green Gully’s 21’s team lost a close match against Altona Magic at Paisley Park on Saturday. Altona Magic scored an early goal in the second minute through Damian Iosifidis from a corner kick. Both teams had chances and tested each other’s goalkeepers. Green Gully equalised in the 49th minute through an Ilce Petrevski goal, but Altona Magic secured a win in the 90th minute through Mohammed Elhawli.
Avondale’s 21’s got their first win of the season last week against Moreland City as they won that fixture 8-0 which now has them placed 8th on the table.
