Training at Home During COVID-19 Pandemic

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Words from our Football Technical Director, Aaron Symons.

We have worked with our NPL Juniors, Junior Girls, Miniroos and Cubs Program Coaches to set out Stay At Home Programs for all our footballers during this trying time.

People know we have serious coaches all throughout our Football Program at Gully.  Speaking with them, we all understand the upcoming challenge to physical and emotional impact posed by isolation and loss of routine during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We urge everyone to follow Government guidelines.

The heroes of the coming months will not be footballers but the doctors and nurses who risk their lives caring for others.

For every footballer, the primary focus of the moment is to look after our families, support our Victorian communities and work together to come through what is clearly the most extreme test we’ve faced in decades.

There are varying age-specific programs that we have sent out and we are happy to share with the public what our 15’s are doing as an example as all exercises can be done regardless of age.

This home program helps our males and females follow the sensible precautions put in place to minimise the spread of the virus, in turn protecting those most vulnerable.

That responsibility lies with us all.

When our Green Gully teams return, it will be at a time when not only Australia, but the rest of the world is well on the road to recovery.
