Mixed emotions saw us go down to a quality team in Avondale on Friday night.
In the first half, we showed too much respect for our opponents, falling short in front of goals due to lapses in concentration.
Avondale certainly had the upper hand throughout and deserved their lead.
We changed a few things during the main break, which the boys took on and delivered well.
We came out with more intent in the second half, creating chances to peg one back.
Though the cards did not fall our way, but as we know, bad luck can change very quick.
We had a positive second half but it was too little too late, so credit to Avondale on a solid performance and deserved win.
It’s a challenging time at the moment but we are prepared to face it head together.
We won’t be held down for long, mark my words.
This Friday we take on Heidelberg United at home, so be sure to get down and support the boys.
