From Green and White to Green and Gold

We at Green Gully Soccer Club are proud to announce that former Green Gully junior, Aleks Taleski, has recently completed the Under 23 Talent Identification Camp in the Netherlands for players based in the UK and Europe.

This camp may present Aleks an opportunity to don the green and gold during the mid-year AFC U23 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan, of which Australia finished third in the year prior. The camp also offers top-level advice for how Aleks can progress with his professional career and helps him to lay some groundwork for potential call-ups in later years.

At Green Gully Aleks played as an Under 10/11 not too long before returning to us in 2016 where he trained with our Senior squad and played in the Under 20’s as a 16 year old. He later moved overseas to Europe in 2018 to take his football to the next level and we think it’s safe to say that it’s having the desired effect.

At 21 years of age Alek is representing Australia in the Netherlands, working hard to get his call up to the big stage. We will continue to watch with great interest, and know that all of Green Gully is behind you.

Best of luck, Aleks!
