Our Under 21s are back at home this afternoon to take on Oakleigh Cannons for Round 18 of the NPL Victoria season.
Last week our 21s showed their fighting spirit, taking back the result after trailing for much of the game.
We saw some brilliant efforts all over the ground, especially from Stefan Stojcevski who sealed the game in the 90th minute with his second goal.
Jack Cotsanis’ goal was similarly impactful but for different reasons, having belted the ball from way outside the box to even the scores and lift his teammates in their eventual victory.
Oakleigh’s result was similarly impressive, scoring three goals against Altona Magic to retain their top-4 spot. It was the exact return they wanted having lost three consecutive games in the weeks before lockdown.
In our last encounter, Oakleigh handed us our first loss of the season and started a difficult run of games.
Though our 21s are in a different place now. This game presents as a chance to cement their resurgence and take back the standing they boasted early on.
Our best is hard to beat. Our boys are confident and in control and we’re excited to see them perform again.
