The action continues this Saturday when our Under 20’s take on Avondale FC at home.
Last week, we took the 3-2 result over Hume City for our first of 2020.
Waleed Flifel led the side with two goals – opening both halves at the 12 and 46 minute mark.
Avondale’s last round had them on the short end of 3-1 against Altona Magic.
The result bared similarities to Round 1, having lost to Oakleigh all the same.
In both outings, goals were kicked by Christian Inglese and Lucas Inglese, making them players to consider in Saturday’s clash.
The last time we faced Avondale, we finished 0-2 victors on the road despite a red card in the 86th minute.
We drew at home before then, sneaking back the equaliser after trailing for 78 minutes.
With one of the easier Round 3 fixtures, a win could see us break into the top 3 as we currently sit tied with Oakleigh Cannons, Dandenong City and Heidelberg United.
Though no team should be taken lightly, given their superior finish over us in 2019.
It is a new season for both clubs and we vow to make it ours.
Come down and support the boys at 3:00pm this Saturday and help us see in the win.
