Today our Under 21’s will take on Altona Magic at Green Gully Reserve for Round 2 of the Victorian National Premier League.
Last week our boys started the season strong against a quality opposition. In recent years it has been a challenge for us to win at Jack Edwards Reserve, but the boys made clear they were up for the task.
Altona’s match against Hume last week ended in a 2-0 loss at home after conceding consecutively in the second half.
Last season our boys fared well against Magic, facing twice with a 3-1 and 4-2 win respectively. Though regardless of our history the boys know anything can happen in a game. It’s a new team and a new year so history shouldn’t matter – we saw that last week with Oakleigh.
We look forward to seeing our 21’s back on the Gully pitch today at 3pm. Come down and support the boys.
