S2022 RD10 MATCH PREVIEW | NPL Men | GREEN GULLY SC V HUME CITY

Tonight our seniors are back at home this week to take on Hume City in what will be their first of
three games for the coming week.

Last week our senior squad took on local rivals St Albans in a heated 1-1 clash. Josh Hope hit
the board again with an early goal before St Albans responded late in the half to close out the
day.

Comparatively Hume City lost 3-1 last week to Heidelberg United at home. Heidelberg kicked all
three of their goals in the first half with Hume responding early in the first.

Tonight Hume will be trying their best to kick start their season with a win over our seniors, so
we know they will be hungry. They currently sit at the bottom of the table but are a big club that
we will not underestimate.

Hume mainstay Josh Bingham presents as a likely threat for tonight’s match-up, having kicked
the second most goals (13) for the year in 2021. However, the two players who placed behind
Bingham now both wear green and white — Alex Salmon (12) and Nahuel Bonada (12). We’ll
have some talent on display without a doubt.

We kick off in our usual time slot at 8pm at Green Gully Reserve, our first of consecutive NPL
home games. We hope to see you there!
