Saturday at 3pm our under 21’s are hosting Port Melbourne Sharks at Green Gully Reserve.
Last week a youth strutted Gully travelled to Altona Magic which saw plenty of chances from both sides but it was the Magic that was more clinical seeing the game out 3-0.
This Saturday’s opponent Port Melbourne Sharks have won 3 out of their last 5 games and last week fell short to Hume City 2-1. Port Melbourne currently sitting 5th on the table would be looking at pushing for a top 4 spot. Having only conceded 3 goals in their last 5 games the Sharks are looking to be defensively solid going into this fixture.
Green Gully currently placed 14th will be looking at gaining form and momentum by obtaining 3 points and hopefully pushing up the table. The Cavaliers have had no trouble scoring goals having found the back of the net 8 times in their past 5 fixtures but defensive stability can hopefully see them get some much-needed results.
With high stakes on the line for both sides, we are sure it will be a great hit-out. We hope to see you all there at 3pm.
