S2022 RD17 MATCH PREVIEW | NPL MEN | GREEN GULLY SC V DANDENONG CITY

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Tomorrow night our seniors travel to take on Dandenong City in Round 17 of NPL Victoria.

The last time we faced was in Round 8 at home which saw Dandenong take the lead against the run of play. Gully continued to show confidence and were awarded a penalty which Alex Salmon made no mistake to tie up the game after chances from both sides the game ended all level.

Last week Dandenong City travelled to Hume City and won 2-1. With them currently placed 13th on the table, this is a must-win game for Dandenong who will keep their foot on the pedal throughout the whole game.

Our Seniors currently placed 4th and winning three out of our last five fixtures are looking to bounce back after last Friday which saw us unable to capitalise on our chances in front of goal against Port Melbourne which saw the game finish 3-1. On Tuesday night we hosted Whittlesea United in the Australia Cup which saw a disciplined performance with Bonada, Georgopolous and Fletcher finding the back of the net to win the game 4-0. Another positive saw both 21’s Nick Giarrizzo and Stefan Stojcevski both get involved off the bench.

Dandenong City is going to be a tough opponent tomorrow afternoon with much to play for from both sides. We hope to see you all there at 4:45pm.
