Saturday at 3pm our under 21’s are hosting Avondale FC at Green Gully Reserve.
Last week Gully traveled to Dandenong City on a cold afternoon which saw ealy crucial decisions go not in our favor and resulted in going down to 10 men. Being tied at halftime and Gully adjusting formation to try and find a result, it was Dandenong that finished the game off 2-0, which is another result that does not illustrate the determination and great football these young men have been playing.
Our opponent Avondale are currently placed third only a point behind second placed Hume City who last round won that outing 2-1. Avondale are currently the second highest scoring team in the competition only trailing to league leaders South Melbourne, The Avengers have only won two out of their last five fixtures.
Green Gully are currently in a rough patch of form being unable to take points in their last five outings besides the football that has been on display.
With both sides looking to find form going into the back end of the season, we are sure it will be a great hit-out. We hope to see you all there at 3pm.
