S2022 RD24 MATCH PREVIEW | NPL MEN | GREEN GULLY SC V HEIDELBERG UTD

Sunday afternoon in round 24 of NPL Victoria our seniors are travelling to Olympic Park as we take on Heidelberg United.

The last time we faced each other was in the Dockerty Cup which saw Gully fall short in that fixture with the scoreline being 3-2.

In Heidelberg’s last fixture they faced Brisbane Roar midweek in the round of 32 of the Australia Cup with the possibility of a cupset cut short with the Roar as they saw out that fixture 3-1 with new star signing Charlie Austin featuring and finding himself two assists.

Your Green Gully Cavaliers also featured in the round of 32 of the Australia Cup as they travelled to take on Wollongong United which saw Gully win 3-2 with a dominant second-half performance from a defensively superb away side. A Gianluca Ianucci thunderbolt and a Josh Hope winner topped off a remarkable string of performances for the pair with them both tallying up the goals and assists from the past two games.

Heidelberg will be a formidable opponent tomorrow with recent results showing that they can hold their own against A-League opposition. We hope to see you all there at 3:00 pm.
