Today our Seniors and Under 21’s take on Avondale FC at Avenger Park, kicking off at 12:15PM and then again at 3:15 PM. It’s certainly a tough fixture but our boys are all looking forward to the challenge.
Last week our Senior group earned a 1-0 result over a tough Dandenong outfit. It’s their third for the season and it was hard fought to the end. Nahuel Bonada put us up with a well placed penalty kick, securing his second goal in the green and white.
Avondale’s senior group continues on their strong 2021 form with only one loss to their name so far. They place second just under an undefeated South Melbourne and have conceded the equal least amount of goals (2) for the year.
Last week they defeated Hume City 3-0 on the road. They lost to St Albans (1-0) the week prior but are yet to record a win where they score less than three goals this season.
Our Under 21’s also face a strong outfit as well. Avondale’s Under 21’s team hold the top spot this year and unlike their senior counterparts, have yet to record a loss (3-1-0).
Last week our Under 21’s picked up their second win for the year with Stefan Stojcevski scoring two impressive goals for our 2-0 win. The boys fought hard and brought themselves back to where they were in Round 1.
We’re excited to see both teams run out today. We hope to see plenty of you there in your green and white.
