S2023 RD13 MATCH PREVIEW | GREEN GULLY SC V ST ALBANS SAINTS

This Friday night your Green Gully Cavaliers are back at home as we play St Albans Saints in our Round 13 clash of NPL Victoria.

In our last fixture, the first half was evenly matched and neither team could find the back of the net in the first 45’. One of Gully’s best chances came from Leighton Lauton’s excellent footwork, but his shot was blocked. In the second half, Gully’s goalkeeper Liam Driscoll made some great saves to keep the game level, but Heidelberg was awarded a penalty in the 61st minute which Kaine Sheppard converted. Adolph Koudakpo and Gianluca Iannucci both had efforts hit the woodwork and ultimately Heidelberg won the game with three points.

Our opponent for this week is St Albans Saints who last round faced Moreland City in which the Saints won that fixture 3-0. St Albans currently sit in 11th position on the table.
