Green Gully played Hume City which was a well-deserved win at Hume City Stadium as we won 1-0.
Both sides created great chances in the opening 45’ with some great defending on display which led to neither side being able to open the scoring and heading into the break 0-0.
It was not until the 70’ minute as Gully found their opening this was from a Gianluca Iannucci cross into the box which was met with a header from James Doyle at the back post who put us ahead late in the second half. This proved to be the difference as Gully held on until the final whistle and took home all three points.
We turn our focus now to this Friday as we take on Melbourne Knights at home.
