S2024 RD12 | MATCH PREVIEW | GREEN GULLY SC VS ST ALBANS SAINTS SC

Green Gully will look to make it two league wins on the bounce on Saturday afternoon when they host St Albans Dinamo at Green Gully Reserve at 1 PM.

Gully turned a corner last Saturday after a disappointing stretch of results, defeating reigning NPL Victoria champions Avondale 1-0 at Avenger Park.

They continued their good form with a win over Ballarat City in the Dockerty Cup on Wednesday, securing their place in Round 6, where they will also face Dinamo in the coming weeks.

Green Gully triumphed 4-0 over Ballarat, with goals to Eiloan Kifle, Mo Adam (2) and Jamie Latham, building on the strong performance against Avondale.

Their opponents, St Albans, also recorded a win in the Cup on Wednesday, seeing off State League 5 outfit East Bentleigh.

Dinamo, however, have lost their last four games in the league, including a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Dandenong Thunder last week.

Despite their struggles, they have shown an ability to cause problems, particularly in their 3-2 loss to Oakleigh Cannons a fortnight ago, where they pushed Chris Taylor’s side to the distance.

The likes of Ivan Razumic and Brian Summerskill have been brilliant this season, scoring three goals apiece, while Marko Bulic continues to shine in goals.

Our Under 23s will be in action shortly after the seniors match, taking the field at 3:30 PM.

The boys are still four points clear on top of the ladder after a 2-2 draw with Avondale last week, while St Albans sit in ninth following a 2-1 loss to Thunder.
