Green Gully is pleased to announce the signing of Somali international forward Bilal Habib for the 2026 NPL Victoria season.
The 25-year-old centre-forward arrives at Gully after spells with Altona Magic and South Melbourne, where he featured in the inaugural Australian Championship.
Habib spent the 2025 NPL Victoria season at Altona Magic, making 24 appearances and scoring five goals, before earning a move to Lakeside ahead of the inaugural national second division competition.
He went on to make an immediate impact in national competition, scoring a decisive late winner in a match against Sydney Olympic during South Melbourne’s Australian Championship campaign.
At international level, Habib has represented Somalia, adding valuable experience and composure to Gully’s attacking stocks.
Strong, direct and comfortable leading the line, Habib offers presence in the box and a willingness to occupy defenders, providing another option in the final third for the Cavaliers.
Bilal Habib joins Michael Weier, Lucas Simao, Taofiq Olomowewe, Tom Woerndl, Kur Kur and Yusuf Ahmed as new acquisitions ahead of the 2026 NPL Victoria season.
