The first game of the season began positively, defeating our neighbours with a 2-0 win.
Our victory was well-aided by Stefan Stojcevski and Aidan Lane who kicked goals in the 34th and 48th minutes respectively.
The conditions were extremely warm and our conditioning was put to the test, but the boys put on a solid performance defensively, not allowing the Dinamo forwards to create opportunities.
Offensively we created quite a few chances, showing that a 2-0 score may have easily been 3-0 or 4-0 had they eventuated.
There are new faces so it will take time for the team to gel, and that is expected but also exciting knowing there is much potential in this young outfit.
It’s difficult to single out individual performances considering all the boys put in a solid shift and l congratulate them on the win and hopefully many to follow.
We now look toward this Friday and our upcoming home clash with Hume City FC. The boys are ready to collect on a big preseason and put on a show for the home fans.
