This Friday Night we host North Geelong Warriors at Green Gully Reserve in our Round 20 clash of NPL Victoria.
In our last fixture against Avondale FC, our opposition took advantage of the extra man and scored their first goal in the 17th minute through Kristian Trajceski. Gully tried to equalize with Adolph Koudakpo’s efforts on the right flank, but they couldn’t score. Avondale extended their lead with Liam Boland’s goal in the 38th minute. Just before halftime, Blake Carpenter made it three for Avondale. In the second half, Gully, despite being a man down, came out seeking a consolation goal to salvage something from the match. They managed to hold Avondale off until the 93rd minute when a deflected shot ended up in the back of Gully’s net.
Our opponent for this week is North Geelong Warriors who last round faced Moreland City in which North Geelong won that fixture 1-0. The Warriors currently sit in 12th position in NPL Victoria.
