Green Gully found an important win against North Geelong Warriors as we won 3-2.
Gully opened the scoring in the 38’ minute through Joel Brandt with a curled effort into the top right corner to put us ahead. North Geelong responded quickly, finding the equaliser in the 43’ minute.
Gully restored their lead early in the second half through Brayden Portelli who found space in the six-yard box and placed the ball in the back of the net. North Geelong continued to push and didn’t give up in this fixture and was rewarded for their efforts as in the 78’ they found their second goal to make the game level. In the 85’ minute Gully found the winner through substitute S. Ahmed as the initial shot from Greg Siamoa was not kept under control by the North Geelong keeper and was put into the back of the net from Ahmed to secure all three points.
Gully now looks to continue on this Saturday as we face Moreland City at CB Smith Reserve.
