Tomorrow afternoon our Under 21’s kick off against Bentleigh Greens at Kingston Heath Complex.
Like with a lot of teams this year, it’s been more than a year since we last clashed. It was a tight 3-3 ending in June of 2019 with 87th minute Gully goal allowing us to leave with some of the points.
Before that, in March, we conceded 1-2 after a late 87th minute goal saw Bentleigh snatch the lead.
This year Bentleigh has been in decent form. They recorded a strong 4-0 win on the road against Altona Magic last week, tied with second-placed Oakleigh Cannons and secured big wins against Port Melbourne and Avondale.
Prior to last week, they hadn’t recorded a win in a while so they’ll be understandably looking to capitalise on some momentum.
Admittedly, last week was a hard result for us but we won’t stay down for long.
We’ve proven countless times that we’re a quality side. We’ll get back to that winning spirit in no time.
We kick off at 3pm on Saturday. Come down and support the boys!
