This afternoon our Under 21’s return home to take on Eastern Lions.
It took a bit of time but it seems the boys are back to their dominating football. Despite trailing for 95 per cent of the game our Under 21’s managed to clinch a tie in the closing minutes.
Stefan Stojcevski was utterly brilliant in attack, snatching back to goals in the span of minutes to bring the game even.
Though the Eastern Lions’ result last week was equally impressive, coming back from 3-0 to also share the points against Altona Magic.
Despite their 12th position, our visitors boast quite a large goal output with 17. Teams above and below them barely crack 10, but like us they’ve conceded their fair share.
We’re still a fair way of dropping spots but a win could push us towards the top-four. Even with our slow month, our start was undeniably dominant as shown by our ladder positioning.
Both teams will be itching for a win, so we could be looking at a surprising contest today. Open gates as always, come check it out at 3pm.
