On Friday the work continues at Green Gully Reserve when we take on Hume City in our first home game of 2020.
Being the first of three consecutive home games, our Senior Men will look to build momentum early; lifting through next fortnight with games against Avondale and Heidelberg to follow.
In 2019, we performed well against Hume City, winning 1-0 at home and 1-3 away in our two clashes.
Matthew Fletcher starred in the last, kicking two – with defender Daniel Jones taking aim in the former.
Still our visitors shouldn’t concede an easy result; having shown great signs against Altona Magic, with a 2-0 win.
Steven Hewitt will be the player to mind given his goal kicking (2) success in Round 1.
Like us, our visitors fell short in the Elimination Finals last year and will be keen on making good on 2020.
The Green Gully men still have plenty to offer and this week they’ll have their chance to prove it.
