Tonight at 5:30pm our Seniors take on Port Melbourne at JL Murphy Reserve for our first Saturday fixture of 2022.
Despite not recording wins in their first two games, Port Melbourne have looked dangerous. Like us they have kicked four goals since the season’s launch and are yet to record a loss. They drew 1-1 and 3-3 against St Albans and Hume City respectively, going shot for shot with Hume even after conceding two penalties on the night.
Our Seniors have done well to start the league at 2-0 but it hasn’t been without its challenges. Altona put up a good fight last week and Oakleigh started incredibly strong the week before. The boys have stood up to both and deserve the rewards that have come with it.
The work will continue today as they hit the road once again. Last time we played at JL Murphy Reserve we lost 0-2, but we’re a different team now and determined to get a result.
Make sure you come down to Port Melbourne this week and help support our boys. Kick off is at 5:30pm.
