Today our under 21’s return home to Green Gully Reserve to take on Hume City.
Last week our 21’s put on a real show, fighting back in the second half from a two goal margin to
win 3-2 against local rivals St Albans.
This week they face a strong opponent in Hume City, which may appear surprising given the
position of their senior squad. Hume City’s 21’s currently place in second place compared to
their seniors who place at the bottom. They have scored a staggering 23 goals for the year and
have even tied with league leaders Avondale in a 4-4 thriller.
Our boys will be presented with quite the challenge but it’s never been something they have
shied away from. Even without some of our main names, the boys have risen to the challenge
with the inclusion of many under 18 players.
