Today at 3pm our under 21’s will take on Oakleigh Cannons for the second time in 2022 — this time at Green Gully Reserve.
Last week our boys suffered a tough loss against Dandenong Thunder as our youth side continued to show the pain of our many major outs and missing key players. Despite the result our under 18’s players have done well with the challenge and have cemented their position in the team for 2022.
Last week Oakleigh drew against third placed Hume City. Prior to this they were having a strong run of form, defeating Saints, Knights and Greens on their way to fourth on the table. Pavel Kuzenetsov and Allen Korkaric have been a major danger all year for opposition, having kicked nine and seven goals respectively.
With the recent inclusion of captain Stefan Stojcevski our boys may start to feel more comfortable in our attacking third. In his absence the boys have continued to push and on many occasions capitalised on their opportunities, but the added threat going forward is always an extra help and something we’ll look to use this today.
