Green Gully missed out at Green Gully Reserve on Friday as we lost to Hume City 3-1.
Hume opened the scoring early in the 3rd minute through a set piece converted by Josh Bingham. Gully then responded in the 18th minute as Gianluca Iannucci switched the ball to Pierce Waring as his shot got deflected into the back of the net to put the game back level. Minutes later Hume then restored their lead through a cross deflecting into the back of the net.
With the second half underway, Gully tried to find another equaliser but were unable to and in the 63rd minute as Hume got their third of the game.
Gully now look towards Monday night as we face Melbourne Knights in Round 9 of NPL Victoria at Knights Stadium.
