Round 4 against Heidelberg United was a game of two halves. To put it bluntly we were untouchable in the first half. In the second, I believe we lost focus and we paid the price.
To sit and stay top of the table at National Premier League level you need to play and bring the intensity for 90 minutes, not 45.
We certainly learnt some tough lessons this weekend. I’m a glass half full person so I choose to focus on the good things from our contest against Heidelberg, and there were many.
In the first half some of the build up play was simply as good as a full time standard.
I can guarantee our Gully Faithful one thing this week, they won’t see a repeat of last week’s second half. Our boys are too honest to serve that up again.
The next three weeks are super important in more ways than one so join us and let’s do this together!
