S2022 RD13 MATCH PREVIEW | NPL U21 | GREEN GULLY SC V DANDENONG THUNDER

Today at 3pm our under 21’s come up against Dandenong Thunder at Green Gully Reserve.

Last week our under 21’s took on the Eastern Lions at Gardiners Creek Reserve with Stefan Stojcevski making his official return to the side after recovering from injury. The game ended in a 1-0 loss with the Lions sneaking one by in the 90th minute to take away any points we may have received from our more than fair performance.

Our under 21’s have lost games in recent weeks but what was most uncharacteristic of this one was the low scoring from both teams. Despite some losses our boys have converted plenty in front of goals in recent weeks, having put up a 4-5 result against Heidelberg the week prior. It was just a different kind of game, and we know our boys will be eager to get back on the sheet.

Dandenong Thunder currently place in 8th place with six wins — four of which have come from the last month. They have had an impressive run of form with their most impressive of the four wins coming in the last round against third placed Hume City (2-1). It was only Hume’s third loss for the year and has put Dandenong in a position to threaten for the top-six.

We have no doubt that Today is going to be a good hit-out, especially with Stojcevski in a position to play more minutes. We hope to see you all there at 3pm.
