S2023 RD16 | MATCH REVIEW | NPL MEN | GREEN GULLY SC VS BENTLEIGH GREENS

Green Gully returned to winning ways on Friday at Green Gully Reserve as we won 3-1.

Bentleigh Green striked first on the scoresheet as they opened the scoring in the 18’ minute through Lucas Derrick. Gully made the game level just before halftime with Josh Hope finding the ball in midfield who played the switch to Adolph Koudakpo who went himself to beat his defender and place the ball in the bottom left corner.

Going into the second half Bentleigh were reduced down to 10-men in which Gully took advantage when Nahuel Bonada was taken down in the area in the 64’ minute in which Pierce Waring stepped and converted from the spot. In the 85’ minute Tyler Vecchio released a superb finish from the edge of the area that rifled into the top right corner to secure all three points for Gully.

Gully now needs to turn their focus as we travel to JL Murphy Reserve on Friday night at 7:30 pm to take on Port Melbourne Sharks.
