This Saturday we travel to Moreland City at CB Smith Reserve in our Round 21 clash of NPL Victoria.
In our last fixture against North Geelong Warriors, Captain Luc Jeggo scored the opening goal for Green Gully in the 13th minute after receiving a cross from Nahuel Bonada. Jeggo placed the ball in the bottom left corner, giving Gully an early lead. In the 29th minute, Bonada intercepted a pass from North Geelong and found himself alone against the goalkeeper, scoring Gully’s second goal. In the second half, North Geelong managed to score a goal through Aden Gardner in the 64th minute. However, Gully quickly restored their lead in the 72nd minute when Adolph Koudakpo beat two defenders and successfully shot the ball past the goalkeeper, securing a victory and three points for Green Gully.
Our opponent for this week is Moreland City who last round faced Hume City in which Hume won that fixture 3-2. Moreland currently sit in 14th position in NPL Victoria.

Last weekend Gully faced off against North Geelong Warriors, Joel Brandt scored the opening goal for Gully in the 38th minute with a well-placed curled shot into the top right corner. However, North Geelong quickly responded and equalized in the 43rd minute. In the second half, Gully regained the lead early on as Brayden Portelli found space in the six-yard box and scored. North Geelong didn’t give up and managed to find their second goal in the 78th minute, leveling the game. In the 85th minute, Gully secured the victory as substitute S. Ahmed capitalized on a loose ball from Greg Siamoa’s initial shot, putting it into the net and earning all three points for Gully.
Our opponent for our Gully 21’s this week, Moreland City, faced Hume City in which Hume won 5-0. Moreland currently sit in 14th position on the table.
