S2023 RD4 MATCH PREVIEW | GREEN GULLY SC V PORT MELBOURNE

Tonight your Green Gully Cavaliers are back at home at Green Gully Reserve as we host the Port Melbourne Sharks in our Round 4 clash of NPL Victoria.

Last Friday our Seniors travelled to Kingston Heath Soccer Complex as we had a strong second half performance with goals from Josh Hope and Pierce Waring proved to be the difference which saw us take three points against the Bentleigh Greens.

Last Saturday this weeks opposition the Port Melbourne Sharks hosted league newcomers Moreland City, Port Melbourne took the early lead through Chris Duggan but the points were shared due to a penalty from Christos Theodorakopoulos for Moreland City.

Our 21’s also travelled to Kingston Heath Soccer Complex to play Bentleigh as they fought out a tough fixture as they opened the scoring through Nicholas Fumo and Bentleigh found an equaliser before half time. Both teams chased the result in the second half but key saves from Damian Barbanera kept the game at level.

Port Melbourne’s 21’s have had a good run of form to the start of the season as they are coming off a 1-0 victory over Moreland City and currently have three wins from their opening three fixtures this season.

Two very important games from our Seniors and 21’s back at Green Gully Reserve. We hope to see you all there supporting the boys in Green and White!
